Alpukat smoothie from Indonesia

I have selected this recipe because of its simplicity, but surely because my brother used to live in Indonesia for a while, and that it is also my favorite destination in Southeast Asia because of its numerous active volcanoes.

INGREDIENTS:
2 servings

- 1 ripe avocado

- 1 1/2 cup of soy milk

- 2 espressos or 2 little cups of strong brewed coffee

- 6 tablespoons of maple syrup (that's because I live in Canada, and because maple syrup is about the healthiest among all types of sugars, but you can also use condensed milk)

- I personally don't drink cold beverages because it does not suit me according to Ayurveda and Traditional Chinese Medicine (TCM), but some people like smoothies with ice in it. It's up to you.

- optional: a touch of chocolate syrup

 

INSTRUCTIONS:

Blend altogether the avocado, the milk, the coffee and the maple syrup in a blender. Pour into your mason jar glass. Drip the chocolate syrup on top of it. You can also "saupoudrer" the top with cocoa powder for a forest & moss look!
